Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to the apps made by YDZ Labs Limited ("we", "us"):

  • Swift Translate Keyboard for Android and for iPhone;
  • Swift Translate Screen & Chat for Android.

By downloading or using one of our apps, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. The first part applies to all our apps; the sections that follow apply to a particular store or app.

For all our apps

Translations

Translations are produced automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on them where a mistake could cause harm, such as in medical, legal, financial or safety matters.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use our apps on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute them, except as the law allows.

Acceptable use

You agree to use our apps lawfully and not to harm others, infringe anyone's rights, or interfere with the services the apps rely on. You are responsible for the content you translate. You keep all rights to it, and allow us and our service providers to process it only to provide the translation. Our Privacy Policy (https://swifttranslate.app/privacy-policy) explains how we handle your data.

Third-party services

Our apps rely on third-party services, which may change or become unavailable. Your use may also be subject to third parties' terms, such as your mobile carrier's.

Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription, purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

  • Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • Any unused part of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription.
  • Prices may vary by region and may change, with notice as the store requires.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google Play under their own policies.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Our apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent the law permits, YDZ Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of our apps. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using an app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date above. Continuing to use an app after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence still apply.

Apps downloaded from the App Store

If you downloaded an app from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

  • These terms are between you and YDZ Labs only, not Apple. YDZ Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence allows you to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • YDZ Labs alone is responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent the law permits, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from a failure to conform to a warranty are YDZ Labs' responsibility.
  • YDZ Labs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, YDZ Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.

Swift Translate Keyboard

The keyboard sends text for translation only when you ask it to. On iPhone, it needs Full Access to connect to the translation service; you can turn Full Access off in Settings at any time.

Swift Translate Screen & Chat

The app needs Android's Accessibility permission to read the text on your screen when you ask for a translation, and to show translations over other apps. It is never used to collect passwords, payment information or other sensitive data. The free version has usage limits and shows ads; a Premium subscription removes them.
