Manga translator
Read Japanese, Korean, or Chinese raws in your language.
How it works
Swift Translate translates manga on your screen. Open any manga reader, drag the floating bubble over a speech bubble, and read Japanese, Korean, or Chinese raws in your language — panel by panel, without leaving the page.
- Install Swift Translate and turn the translator on.
- Open your manga reader app or a manga page in the browser.
- Drag the bubble over a speech bubble — or area-scan a full panel — and read it in your language.
Made for how people actually read
-
Raw manga
Chapters that are months ahead of the official translation.
-
Webtoons & manhwa
Korean vertical-scroll comics translate panel by panel as you read.
-
Manhua
Chinese comics and their app-exclusive chapters.
-
Any reader
Works in reader apps and browser sites alike — it reads the screen, not the app.
Honest limitations
OCR reads printed text best. Very stylized lettering, handwritten sound effects, and text drawn over busy art can miss or mis-read — in every OCR tool. Dialogue in normal speech bubbles, which is most of a chapter, works well.
Common questions
How do I translate manga on Android?
Use a screen translator: install Swift Translate, open your manga reader, and drag the floating bubble over the speech bubbles. The text is recognized with OCR and translated in place — no screenshots, no switching apps.
Does it work with raw Japanese, Korean, and Chinese manga?
Yes — recognition supports Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Clear, printed text translates best; very stylized lettering and handwritten sound effects are harder for any OCR.
Which manga apps does it work with?
Any reader that shows pages on screen: manga and webtoon apps, comic readers, and manga sites in your browser. If you can see the page, the bubble can read it.
Can it translate webtoons and manhwa?
Yes — Korean webtoons and manhwa translate the same way. The vertical-scroll format works well with drag-to-translate.
